Well, sooner or later it was bound to happen, and who else but Leica should introduce the first forget-about-technical-specifications-just-look-at-me digital camera. The Leica D-Lux body is made of anodized aluminum, you can get your name laser engraved (at no extra cost) when you order it, and Leica advertises the D-Lux as a 'timeless object.'

For the money that you know you're going to spend for this little jewel, you expect to get some goodies? Well, how about an ox-hide leather case (5 different colors to choose from) and, get this, a second matching leather case to store a spare battery (included) and spare SD memory card. Leica has selected singer (and presumably amateur photographer) Bryan Adams to be the human face for this digital camera.
