Kogeto Finalizes Design for Dot iPhone Panorama Attachment

Kogeto Unveils Final Design for Dot™ and Launches Web Platform Dotspots™ to Support Panoramic Video Sharing

Dot’s new optic features better resolution and will be licensed to other consumer hardware providers

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 13, 2011

Kogeto today unveiled the final design for Dot™, the panoramic video camera accessory for the iPhone 4 that hits retail shelves in October. Kogeto’s compact and durable iCONIC lens works with the iPhone 4’s HD video camera to capture full 360-degree footage, seamlessly integrating the video into an easy to share format without stitching frames together. The unique catadioptric optical system is fully AR-coated for excellent color fidelity in all environments and now offers better resolution. Dot does not require batteries or external power.

“Dot has evolved into a camera that has outstanding video quality and optimal sharing capabilities for its users,” said Jeff Glasse, CEO of Kogeto. “The initial pre-sales success of Kogeto has also come with some great feedback and suggestions from our early adopting community. We have diligently worked to ensure user satisfaction and to bring Dot to the marketplace beyond our users’ expectations.”

Additionally, Kogeto’s dynamic panoramic web platform Dotspots™ also goes live today. Dotspots allows users to create their own personalized accounts where their Dot videos can be uploaded and shared among other Dot users. Dotspots is integrated with Facebook and Twitter for instant video sharing as well.

Dot comes in a variety of colors and requires no additional battery power, external power, or memory beyond standard camera use. When Dot goes on sale, users will also download a free iPhone application called Looker ™ from the Apple App Store, which gives the technical components to processing the video footage in real-time and makes it ready for sharing. Dot will also come with a microfiber pouch that doubles as a lens cloth.

Dot will be available for $79 and is manufactured in the U.S.
