The Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS features 7.1MP resolution, a SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON 12x optical zoom lens (36–432 mm, 35 mm equiv.) with image stabilization and a large 2.5-in. LCD monitor.

The Kodak Z712 IS provides full exposure flexibility, including Aperture-Priority, Shutter-Priority and Manual modes, plus 15 easy-to-use Scene Modes and QuickTime (640 x 480) 30fps movie with sound. It is fast with a click-to-capture speed of 0.26 sec.

PictBridge technology enables photos to be printed directly from the Kodak Z712 IS to any PictBridge-enabled printer.
