Serious to Advanced Amateur
The Kodak EasyShare P880 Wide Zoom is
the top digital camera in Kodak's new "Performance
Series." Targeted to the serious and advanced
amateur photographers, the Kodak P880 features
8.0MP resolution for large prints; a 5.8X professional-quality
SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH VARIOGON Optical Zoom Lens
featuring manual zoom and focus rings; a 24mm
wide-angle coverage; the ability to save images
in the RAW file format; live histogram in record
mode; and full exposure flexibility.
It sports an extra large 2.5 in. LCD monitor
and a high resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF).
You can get as close as 5 cm (2 in.) to your subject
for detailed macro photography.
Movies are captured at 640 × 480 pixels
at 30 fps, with the capability to zoom during
movie capture. Shutter speed rages from 1/2 sec.
to an action-freezing 1/4000 sec. in Auto mode
with the ability to go as slow as 16 sec. in Shutter-Priority
and Manual modes. It has a hot shoe flash connector
and accepts the optional P20 Zoom Flash.
The Kodak EasyShare P880 will appeal to
serious and advanced amateur photographers who
desire a real wide-angle digital camera with full
exposure flexibility -- and as easy-to-use as
Kodak EasyShare digital cameras have earned the
reputation to be.
If you'd rather have a long zoom instead of a
wide-angle lens coverage, check out the Kodak
EasyShare P850 with 12x optical zoom and
image stabilization.
