Kodak EasyShare One - Kodak Digital Cameras

The KODAK EASYSHARE ONE is the first consumer digital camera that provides storage capability for up to 1,500 pictures, and wireless connections (using Wi-Fi) for instant picture e-mailing and printing (to the new Kodak Easyshare Printer Dock Plus).

Of course, at heart the Kodak ONE follows in Kodak's tried and tested path of easy-to-use digital cameras. It has 4MP resolution, 3x optical zoom, and enough Scene Modes to automate most of the common picture-taking situations. Instead of providing an Auto Mode as most P&S cameras do, the Kodak One defaults to Programmed Auto Mode. In Progammed Auto, you can either set the camera to decide everything for you as in traditional Auto Mode, or select the ISO, light metering, and exposure compensation yourself -- thus giving you more control over the final result.

The Kodak ONE has an optical viewfinder and an extra large and high-resolution 3 in. LCD monitor -- that both swivels and rotates. Taking pictures over the head of others in front of you, or getting down low to the ground for a close up macro shot, now do not require you to get into arkward body contortions and potentially embarrassing positions. The LCD monitor has a polarizer to cut down glare in bright sunlight, and can be used as a touchscreen with the provided stylus.

Online and e-mail picture sharing without a computer is made possible by using a direct, wireless connection to the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery service (formerly known as Ofoto). By connecting to the Gallery through a compatible home network or public hotspot, pictures and videos can be uploaded for near instantaneous electronic sharing with friends around the world.

The 256MB of internal memory allows storage and viewing of 1,500 pictures on the LCD. When the Kodak ONE is connected wirelessly to the KODAK EASYSHARE Gallery, all your online pictures, including albums shared by friends and family, can be viewed on the LCD.

Purchase the optional KODAK Wi-Fi card (US$99.95), and One-touch, wireless picture printing is also possible with the KODAK EASYSHARE Printer Dock Plus.

Like all new EASYSHARE digital cameras, the Kodak ONE is compatible with the new IMAGELINK print system. By placing the camera on an EASYSHARE printer dock or other photo printers compatible with the IMAGELINK system, you can print your pictures in as little as 90 seconds at the touch of a button. And, with the EASYSHARE printer docks, you have the built-in convenience of rapid camera battery recharging and one-touch picture transfer to a connected computer.
