The Sony DSC-P150 Cyber-shot is stylish
and compact, with Sony's distinctive elongated
body. It has 7.2MP resolution, a 3x optical zoom,
and an excellent Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens.
Image quality is simply excellent with one of
the highest detail available on a P&S, approaching
that obtainable only on the Prosumer models. Noise
is very low and negligible at the lowest ISO 100.
Startup on the Sony P150 is f-a-s-t. Also,
as soon as you depress the shutter release button,
the Auto Focus locks, the camera determines correct
exposure, and the picture is taken -- all within
half a second, which is faster than even some
of the prosumer models. The Sony P150 has an AF-assist
illuminator to help the autofocus lock in low-light.
You've heard us say many times that there is
no such thing as the "best" digital
camera -- however, the Sony P150 comes really
really close to being one.
