excellent image quality, low noise and fast shutter
response -- the three features requisite in a

(28-140mm, 35 mm equivalent), a fast F2.4 max.
aperture, up to 8 min. Bulb shutter speed, high
resolution EVF, a unique live direct histogram,
and the fastest startup of the prosumer models,
and you got a one of a kind digital camera.
The Olympus C-8080 body is a bit larger than
its competitors but the black body finish is high
quality and gives it a very professional look.
There is no RAW internal buffer and the LCD does
not gain up in low-light, though the AF-Assist
allows precise focus even in total darkness. Expect
a break-in period while you get accustomed to
the controls and menu layouts. Definitely not
for the first-time user, but the advanced user
will find a very capable camera.
