The Fujifilm FinePix E550 is one of a
new generation of digital cameras from Fujifilm.
The Fujifilm E550 is characterized by excellent
image quality, low noise, faster than average
shutter response, and a wide-angle zoom lens.
Listening to their customers, Fujifilm has equipped
the E550 with lots of features: 6.3MP resolution
for pro level image detail and quality, low noise,
and a large 2-in. LCD. The 4x optical zoom (32.5
- 130mm, 35mm equivalent) provides a slightly
wider angle coverage than standard and average
telephoto for excellent portrait coverage.
It has full exposure flexibility and can record
in the RAW file format. Shutter and AF response
is fast. It has only a max. of 3 sec. shutter
speed so don't expect night photography. It also
is missing an AF-Assist Illuminator making low-light
focusing challenging. Two AA NiMH rechargeable
batteries and recharger included. Optional wide
and telephoto converters and filters are available.
