With
the FinePix S5000, Fujifilm enters the increasingly
popular long zoom market with a 10x optical zoom,
low-light focus-assist lamp, and Fujifilm's new
4th Generation Super CCD HR with 3.1 megapixels
resolution.
The
S5000 has a maximum aperture of F2.8, shutter
speeds from 2- 1/2,000 sec., and, unlike some
of its competitors, allows flexible exposure control
with Shutter-Priority AE, Aperture-Priority AE,
Scene Modes and Manual mode. It has a 1.5 in.
LCD and uses 4 AA batteries.
The FinePix S5000 is probably one of the best
looking digital camera in a while; it's not compact
but should appeal to those who prefer a larger
camera with a good grip. The S5000 should prove
very popular to beginner and serious amateur photographers
desiring a long zoom with flexible exposure control.
