The Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd features 8
megapixel resolution on a 1/2.5-in. Super CCD HR image sensor, 5.0x optical zoom (36mm-180mm, 35mm equiv.), and a large 2.7-in. (230,000 pixels resolution)
LCD screen. It is slim at only 20mm thick and easily slips into a Jeans pocket or a fashion purse.
Dual Image Stabilization combines CCD-shift Mechanical Stabilization (to reduce blur caused by camera shake) with Fujifilm's Picture Stabilization Technology (that attempts to freeze subject motion by using a high ISO and fast enough shutter speed).
A new Jog Dial GUI Control Wheel enables easy control and selection of the functions in Record mode as well as viewing thumbnails in Playback. Other Playback modes include Slide Show Mode, Auction Mode and Blog Mode. Wirelessly transfer and share photos by sending image files to other IrSimple–ready cameras.
The Fujifilm Z100fd has Auto mode plus 14 scene modes. Movie recording is 640 x 480 pixels @ 30 fps with monaural sound. It accepts xD-Picture
Card as well as Secure Digital (SD/SDHC) memory cards.
Face Detection and Automatic Red-Eye Removal makes portraits and group photos fun. During playback of group portraits, you can “Zoom Up” on detected faces and check
them one by one. If you find a priceless expression, Face Detection and high resolution
are ready to automatically “Crop” and save a “portrait” of the detected face in camera. Micro Thumbnail View allows you to navigate up to 100 thumbnails in a 10x10 array during Playback.
A new IrSimple™ technology allows for fast wireless image transfer to other IrSimple™ compatible products (including another IrSimple™ digital camera). Blog Mode copies and automatically resizes any image captured to a properly sized 640x480 (VGA) (or 320 x 240) image size, right in the camera. Auction Mode automatically stitches multiple photos into
a single image for easy uploading to your favorite auction site.
Not sure whether to use flash or not? Natural Light plus Flash mode takes two photos in quick succession, one with flash and one without. Both photos are then displayed side by side for quick comparison.
It is available in four colours: Silver, Pink, Brown, and Black & White.
