How
do you improve on the popular S5000? With the
Fujifilm FinePix S5100! Still sporting
the 10x optical zoom, low-light focus-assist lamp,
and upping the resolution to 4 megapixels. The
S5100 drops the Super CCD HR for a regular CCD
and gains in being able to use a lower ISO 64
(the S5000 had a minimum ISO 200 which made the
images a bit noisy).
The
S5100 has a maximum aperture of F2.8, shutter
speeds from 2- 1/2,000 sec., and allows full exposure
control with Shutter-Priority AE, Aperture-Priority
AE, Scene Modes and Manual mode. It has a 1.5
in. LCD and uses 4 AA batteries.
The Fujifilm FinePix S5100 is still one
of the best looking digital camera and should
prove very popular to beginner and serious amateur
photographers desiring a long zoom with flexible
exposure control.
