This low-noise high-ISO capability means that
you can take pictures indoors in low-light situations
much better than with other digital cameras. To
this effect, the Fujifilm F30 features a "Picture
Stabilization" setting that will automatically
select a high ISO and fast enough shutter speed
to reduce blur due to camera shake.
The Fujifilm F30 comes with a Low Light AF Focusing
Assist Lamp to help focusing in low-light and
an extra large 2.5 in. LCD monitor (230,000 pixels)
with Anti-Glare Coating and Low Light Viewability
Gain-up Brightness Mode so you can see and compose
in low-light.
Improving on the FinePix F10 which was basically
a point-and-shoot digital camera, the FinePix
F30 has enhanced manual controls including shutter
and aperture priority modes. 15 pre-programmed
scene modes help automate common picture-taking
situations.
Movie recording is 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames/sec
with monaural sound. A new i-Flash system avoids
washed out pictures by outputting only the right
amount of light.
If you do not require Aperture-Priority AE and
Shutter-Priority AE mode, then consider the Fujifilm
F20 at about US$120 less.
If you desire a long zoom version of the F30,
then consider the Fujifilm
S6000fd, with Face Detection technology.
