Fujifilm FinePix F30 Review
Date: Jul 24, 2006
Fujifilm FinePix F30 Review is based on a production
model. All sample images are unretouched, except
review has been submitted to DIWA
Awards [Total: 77%].
The Fujifilm FinePix F30 Zoom has raised
the bar previously set by the award-winning FinePix
F10 (and F11). Fujifilm's new 6th Generation
SuperCCD HR image sensor, 2nd Generation Real
Photo Technology processing and quality Fujinon
lens work together in the Fujifilm F30 to produce
excellent picture quality with exceptional low
noise at high ISOs, which can now go up to ISO
Noise is low from ISO 100 to 400 and acceptable
at ISO 800. At the higher ISOs of 1600 and 3200,
noise is not much of a problem if you stay at
regular sized 4x6 in. prints or display for web

F30 Photo Gallery]. For many amateur photographers,
the possibility to use a digital camera in sunny
and low-light conditions alike makes the
Fujifilm F30 an easy choice.
It has a new attractive and more streamlined
look that I like very much, good handling, fabulously
long battery life (580 shots per charge), a new
extra large and high resolution 2.5 in. LCD monitor
that is easy on the eyes and gains up in low-light
situations -- and is really fast on startup and
The Fujifilm FinePix F30 is a beautifully
crafted digital camera with low-light capability
that most closely matches that of a digital SLR.
Beginners, as well as seasoned pros, will find
it a compact take-anywhere digital camera that
is fast and responsive -- and be impressed by
its excellent image quality, exceptional low-light
capability in a non-dSLR, and additional manual
control in the form of Aperture-Priority AE and
Shutter-Priority AE mode. This is one digital
camera that is easy to recommend.
