The Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR features 12MP resolution on a new 1/1.6 in. Super CCD EXR image sensor which allows you to optimize the image capture according to the scene: High Resolution, Wide Dynamic Range or High Sensitivity & Low Noise.
"Resolution Priority" uses the full 12 megapixel resolution to capture the scene in fine detail. For scenes with an extreme range between the brightest and darkest areas, "D-range Priority" simultaneously captures and combines two images to produce a single 6MP image with Wide Dynamic Range up to 800% so as to reveal detail in shadows and eliminate highlight burntout in bright areas. In dark scenes, "High ISO & Low Noise Priority" uses Fujifilm's pixel binning technology to capture a 6MP image with exceptionally low noise.
Set the camera to "EXR Auto" and the camera automatically recognizes the scene (selects the appropriate Scene Mode) and switches to the correct sensor mode. For more manual control, select Aperture-Priority or Manual mode.
Film Simulation Mode simulates the distinctive look of 5 different film types: PROVIA, Velvia, ASTIA, Black & White, and Sepia.
Dual Image Stabilization combines Mechanical CCD-shift Stabilization with High Sensitivity. Together, Dual Image Stabilization helps reduce blur due to camera shake and subject movement.
A 5x wide-angle optical zoom (28-140mm, 35mm equiv.) is perfect for capturing wide landscapes and large groups as well as medium telephoto shots. A 5fps burst mode captures up to 12 frames at 3MP resolution.
Face Detection technology detects up to 10 faces no matter which way the camera is held and adds automatic Red-Eye Removal. A large 3.0-in. wide-angle view LCD has a high 230K pixels resolution and makes composing and viewing images easy. Movie recording is 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames/sec
with monaural sound.
The optional HDC-1 cable allows you to display pictures from your F200EXR directly onto your HDTV. Take underwater pictures with the optional Waterproof Case WP-FXF200.
The Super CCD EXR is another exciting development in sensor technology from Fujifilm and promises to make the Fujifilm F200EXR one of the hottest compact digital camera of 2009.
