The Fujifilm FinePix F20 replaces the award-winning FinePix F10 with 6.3 megapixel resolution on a 1/1.7 in. 6th Generation Super CCD HR image sensor, a Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, and 2nd Generation Real Photo Technology delivering low noise ISO 1600 at full resolution.

This low-noise high-ISO capability means that you can take pictures indoors in low-light situations much better than with other digital cameras.

The Fujifilm F20 comes with a Low Light AF Focusing Assist Lamp to help focusing in low-light and an extra large 2.5 in. LCD monitor (153,000 pixels) with Anti-Glare Coating and Low Light Viewability Gain-up Brightness Mode so you can see and compose in low-light.

Like the FinePix F10, the FinePix F20 is basically a point-and-shoot digital camera with Programmed AE mode and 14 pre-programmed scene modes to help automate common picture-taking situations.

Movie recording is 640 x 480 pixels at 30 frames/sec with monaural sound. A new i-Flash Intelligent Flash works in tandem with high sensitivity settings to preserve natural skin tones.

If you are not sure whether to use flash in a particular situation, an original Dual Shot Mode will take 2 pictures, one with flash and the other without.

The Fujifilm FinePix F20 will appeal to those desiring an easy-to-use compact digital camera for the whole family with low-light capabilities.

If you need more control with Aperture-Priority AE and Shutter-Priority AE mode, then consider the Fujifilm F30 at about US$120 more.

If you desire a long zoom version of the F20, then consider the Fujifilm S6000fd, with Face Detection technology.
