Fujifilm FinePix E900 Review

Review Date: Nov 3, 2005

Fujifilm FinePix E900

Category: Serious Amateur

The Fujifilm FinePix E900 incorporates the new 5th Generation SuperCCD HR image sensor with low noise at high ISO (800) capabilities. Like the Fujifilm S9000, it has 9.0 megapixels resolution. Aperture range is F2.8 to F8, and shutter speed ranges from 15 sec. to 1/2,000 sec. (depending on the shooting mode selected).

It features a 32-128mm (35mm equivalent) 4x optical zoom, has a real-image optical viewfinder, and a large 2.0 in. LCD monitor. It takes the xD-Picture Card.

A nod toward popular request is the use of 2 AA alkaline batteries as its power source. A live histogram can be displayed during Recording mode.

The Fujifilm FinePix E900 should appeal to serious amateur photographers.
