She is only 18 and 5 ft 1 in but her knuckleball throw has earned her a place in the men’s minor leagues. Eri Yoshida is Japan’s first female professional baseball player. She has signed with the Chico Outlaws of the Golden Baseball League and will report for spring training in early May.
