Casio Exilim EX-Z120

Casio Exilim EX-Z120
Mouseover image for back view

Category: Beginner to Serious Amateur

The Casio Exilim EX-Z120 Zoom has 7.2 megapixels resolution, 3x optical zoom, a F2.8 maximum aperture, and you can shoot movie clips of unlimited length at 640x480 28fps until the SD memory card is full.

The Casio Z120 has an internal flash memory of 8.3 MB and Casio claims that it can take approximately 170 shots on a single battery charge (CIPA standards). It has flexible exposure control with Program AE, Aperture priority AE, Shutter speed priority AE, Manual AE and 32 Scene Modes.

A new anti shake DSP (digital signal processor) allows the use of faster shutter speeds to reduce the chance of image blur due to camera or subject movement (Editor: do not confuse with real lens or CCD anti-shake technology -- this is basically a scene mode that bumps sensitivity to ISO 800 so a faster shutter speed can be used). There is a 2 in. LCD monitor (84,960 pixels), a maximum aperture value of F2.8, and shutter speed range of 1/8 to 1/1600 sec. in Auto mode.

The Casio Exilim EX-Z120 should appeal to beginner amateur photographers desiring a compact digital camera.
