In 1995 Casio launched the QV-10 onto the Japanese market. It was the first compact consumer digital camera with an LCD screen, which quickly became the best selling digital camera in the world.

In 2002, Casio created another digital camera first with the EXILIM EX-S1. At 11.3mm thin, the credit card-sized digital camera was the slimmest in the world. It boasted a rapid start up time of approximately 1 second, and the world’s fastest release time lag of approximately 0.09 seconds.

Since then, Casio has quietly continued to evolve the EXILIM line of digital cameras with new features, concentrating on slim bodies, fast operation, unique functions that expand the full potential of digital cameras, larger LCD screens, and longer lasting batteries.

Casio manufactures a vast range of electronic products, including calculators, cash registers and POS, clocks, electronic dictionaries, label printers, music instruments, personal PCs, portable TVs, projectors and watches. It brings all this expertise to its digital cameras (some using the Pentax brand lens). See for yourself. Click on one of the cameras in the drop down list above to learn more.
