The Canon G6 now features 7.1 megapixels resolution,
keeps a 4x optical zoom but in a new optical system,
a fast (large) F2.0 maximum aperture, Macro as
close as 5 cm (2 in.) covering approx. 48 x 36mm
(1.9 x 1.4in.), and full exposure flexibility.
A Super Macro mode covers approx. 24 x 18mm (0.9
x 0.7in.) in 3 megapixels resolution.
The AF Frame is movable across the screen to
permit off-center focusing. RAW File Format is
available. A histogram can be displayed in Playback.
The camera can even be controlled by PC. The LCD
monitor is now 2 in. -- and the lens does not
block the viewfinder anymore. The Canon G6 is
PictBridge-compatible allowing direct printing
from camera to PictBridge-compatible photo printers.
