The Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital ELPH
is a compact digital camera with an elegant ultra light and ultra durable Pure Titanium
body with the "Perpetual Curve" design.
It continues Canon’s tradition of providing
top-tier imaging technology in a slim, compact
and easy-to-use package.
[Canon camera naming scheme can sometimes be quite confusing: in Japan and Europe the Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital ELPH is known as the Canon Digital IXUS 960 IS. Do not confuse with the Digital IXUS 950 IS.]
The Canon SD950 IS has 12.1 megapixels resolution,
3.7x optical zoom with optical image stabilization, a F2.8 maximum aperture, and
a shutter speed range of 15-1/2,000 sec. There
is a large 2.5-in. LCD with a high 230,000 pixels
resolution and a wide viewing angle, anti-glare, and anti-scratch coating for easier
on-camera viewing.
Canon Face Detection technology sets the focus, exposure and flash automatically.
The Canon SD950 IS allows you to shoot a clip
of 640x480 movie at 30fps until the SD memory
card is full (4GB clips at a time or 1 hour of
shooting) Time Lapse Movie (without sound) allows you to record events from a fixed perspective, such as the spectacle of a flower budding over time, or view changing elements in a short period.
