The Canon PowerShot SD700 IS Digital ELPH
is a compact digital camera with an elegant tri-color
"Perpetual Curve" design. It is the
first Digital ELPH to feature Canon's Image Stabilizer
technology to reduce camera shake. It continues
Canons tradition of providing top-tier imaging
technology in a slim, compact and easy-to-use
package. Startup time is approx. 1.3 sec, and
shutter lag is 0.1 sec. or less.
The Canon SD700 IS has 6.0 megapixels resolution,
approx. 4x optical zoom, a F2.8 maximum aperture,
and a shutter speed range of 15-1/1,600 sec. There
is an extra large 2.5-in. LCD with 173,000 pixels
resolution.
The Canon SD700 IS allows you to shoot a clip
of 640x480 movie at 30fps until the SD memory
card is full; or shoot 1 min. clips of 320x240
at 60fps! Take night pictures with a long shutter
speed of 15 sec., and new Scene Modes automate
exposure settings for 9 different shooting situations.
The Canon SD700 IS has an AF-assist Beam to aid
in obtaining focus in low-light conditions. The
Intelligent Orientation Sensor not only rotates
vertical shots automatically, it now wakes up
the cameras from sleep mode by detecting movement
when the camera is picked up.
Canons new My Color technology
allows colors to be enhanced in camera and you
can save both the original still image and the
enhanced color versions as separate files.
The Canon SD700 IS can take approx. 240 shots
(NB-5L/LCD on) or approx. 700 shots (NB-5L/LCD
off), as measured by CIPA testing standards and
apply when a fully-charged battery is used.
With its new Image Stabilizer technology to help
avoid blurred images, the Canon Powershot SD700
IS Digital ELPH is a perfect high resolution
compact, take-anywhere digital camera.
