The Canon PowerShot S90 reintroduces the popular S-series and follows up from the S80 of four years ago with a beautifully designed compact and light digital camera. The Canon S90 features a new 10.0 Megapixel (1/1.7-in. CCD) "High Sensitivity System and higher ISO speeds, plus an exceptionally bright f/2.0 lens that makes portraits and low-light shots come to life." Maximum setting is now ISO 3200. A new Low Light mode automatically adjusts the ISO speed from ISO 320 to ISO 12800 in relation to ambient brightness, subject movement and camera shake.
The Canon S90 is equipped with a 3.8x wide-angle optical zoom (28-105mm equiv.) lens with optical Image Stabilization and a high resolution 3.0-in. LCD with 461,000 dots. Shooting modes include Smart AUTO, PASM modes, plus 21 Scene Modes, including the popular Color Accent, Color Swap and Stitch Assist. Optional accessories include Waterproof Case WP-DC35 and High-Power Flash HF-DC1.
Canon PowerShot S90 Control Ring
A new control ring at the base of the lens barrel is designed for intuitive and fast manual control of either Focus, Shutter Speed, Aperture, Exposure Compensation, ISO, Step Zoom (allows distinct focal length change of 28, 35, 50, 85 and 105mm), or White Balance.
Movie can be shot at 640 x 480 pixels @ 30fps.
