The Canon S80 has the full complement of exposure
control a serious amateur photographer demands:
Shutter-Priority, Aperture-Priority, Scene Modes
and full Manual mode. Other differences: the Canon
S80 now takes Secure Digital (SD) memory cards
instead of CompactFlash (CF) Type I and II.
The Canon S80 supports movie shooting in powerful
XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) 15 fps as well as high-quality
VGA (640 x 480 pixels) 30 fps. Continuous movie
recording up to 1 GB is possible. It displays
a histogram in real-time and grid lines for easier
photo composition.
21 Shooting Modes give full exposure flexibility
and Scene Modes automate picture-taking in most
situations.
Optional accessories include a Soft Leather Case
PSC-30; a High-Power Flash HF-DC1; a Wide Converter
WC-DC10 and Tele-converter TC-DC10 (both require
Lens Adapter LA-DC20); and a Waterproof Case WP-DC1
(and Waterproof Case Weight WW-DC1 to prevent
the case from floating) for underwater photography.
