Category: Serious Amateur

The Canon PowerShot G11 features a new 10.0 Megapixel (1/1.7-in. CCD) High Sensitivity System which, according to Canon, makes the Canon G11 "dramatically more sensitive than cameras with identical megapixel counts, and delivers spectacular images with minimal noise." Maximum setting is now ISO 3200. A new Low Light mode automatically adjusts the ISO speed from ISO 320 to ISO 12800 in relation to ambient brightness, subject movement and camera shake.

The Canon G11 features a 5x wide-angle optical zoom (28-140mm equiv.) lens with optical Image Stabilization and a high resolution 2.7-in. Vari-angle LCD with 461,000 dots. Shooting modes include Smart AUTO, PASM modes, plus 21 Scene Modes, including the popular Color Accent, Color Swap and Stitch Assist. Optional accessories include Waterproof Case WP-DC34, Speedlite Transmitter ST-E2 (enables use of multiple slave flashes and wireless control), Speedlite 580EX II, Speedlite 270EX, and a Tele-Coverter.

Movie can be shot at 640 x 480 pixels @ 30fps.

The Canon PowerShot G11 is a compact digital camera for the serious photographer, allowing full exposure flexibility and creative freedom.
