Canon
is one of my favorite camera company.
Not only do they make some of the finest
cameras in the world, but Canon designers
seem to intuitively know what amateur
photographers want and need. Going all
the way back to the venerable F-1 (and
the AE series, the EOS series, the Sure
Shot series, and the Elph series), Canon
has supplied cameras that generations
of amateur photographers have found
reliable and easy to use. |
Amateur
and professional photographers alike have
made Canon cameras their favorite. People
continue to buy Canon because its business
proposition seems to be, "We build
quality and affordable cameras that you
find easy to use." This philosophy
has enabled Canon to sell millions of cameras
to satisfied customers, converting them
in the process into loyal fans.
I am one of those fans. My first serious
camera was a
Canon Demi EE 17, a half-frame 35mm
camera. It was simplicity to use, yet gave
consistently good results. After graduating
to a 35mm autofocus, and then to a couple
of SLRs, I wanted something I could easily
carry in my pocket everywhere. It was a
tough call choosing among all the competing
brands. Eventually, I developed a couple
of criteria to help me choose: "The
kind of camera I like is one that is easy
and intuitive to use and operate, is small
and light enough to carry everywhere in
my jeans pocket, and deliver superior picture
quality to boot! And it must also not cost
a fortune." Sounds familiar? It
is the criteria we apply here at Photoxels
to all the cameras we feature on our site.
The camera I ended up buying was the Canon
Elph Jr. Best decision I ever made. I carry
it everywhere, it is unobstrusive, it looks
great, and best iof all it delivers excellent
results.
Now,
when it comes to digital cameras, Canon
once again offers a line of cameras that
delivers the kind of results we have come
to expect. See for yourself. Click on one
of the cameras in the drop down list above
