The Canon PowerShot A570 IS features 7.1MP
resolution, 4x optical zoom, and a safety digital
zoom when using lower resolution.
It has a large 2.5-in. LCD screen (115,000 pixels),
9-point AiAF auto focus, shutter speed ranging
from 15-1/2,000 sec., Program AE, Shutter-Priority, Aperture-Priority and full Manual modes, plus easy-to-use
Scene Modes. You can record movie clips of approx.
1 hour or 4GB of 640x480 pixels at 30fps.
Selecting High ISO Auto sets the sensitivity
to a higher value than the Auto setting. This
sets the shutter speed faster, reducing the potential
for camera shake or blurry subjects compared with
the Auto setting. A Histogram can be displayed
in Playback mode.
The A570 IS conveniently uses 2 AA batteries and
can take approx. 120 images per charge using Alkaline
batteries or approx. 400 images per charge using
rechargeable NiMH batteries.
The Canon PowerShot A570 IS is a digital camera that provides full exposure flexibility at an incredibly affordable price. It is appropriate
for beginners who want to learn more about digital photography.
For about US $50 less, the Canon PowerShot A560 is almost similar but has a 2.0-in (86,000K pixels), no Shutter-Priority mode, no Aperture-Priority mode and lacks image stabilization.
