Canon PowerShot A410

Category: Point-and-Shoot

The Canon PowerShot A410 is an entry-level point-and-shoot digital camera with 3.2 megapixels resolution (which allows prints up to 8x10 in.). It has a sleek look and has an exceptional price: at US$149.95, it is sure to be an attractively priced entry-level digital camera.

The Canon A410 improves on the A400 it replaces with a 3.2x optical zoom, a max. aperture of F2.8, use of DIGIC II processing, and faster startup and response times. Continuous shooting is now 2.5fps, flash range is improved to 3m (9.8 ft), and grid lines can be displayed on the LCD monitor to aid in composing.

First-time photographers will find the Scene Modes helpful. An AF-Assist beam helps the camera achieve focus in low-light situations. Note that the camera does not come with an AV cable and cannot be connected to a TV. It has a Print/Share button that makes it easy to print directly (without going thru a computer) to a Canon SELPHY CP Series printer, a Canon SELPHY DS Bubble Jet printer, or to a PictBridge-compliant printer of any brand.

Optional accessories include a High-Power Flash HF-DC1, Battery and Charger Kit CBK4-200, and AC Adapter kit ACK800.

If you're looking for an easy to use point-and-shoot entry-level digital camera, you may want to give the Canon PowerShot A410 a try. It is small enough to carry anywhere, and makes a perfect present for the first-time digital camera user.
