The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS5 / TZ8 features 12.1MP resolution (1/2.33-in. CCD), 12x optical zoom (25-300mm equiv.), optical Image Stabilization to help reduce blurred shots due to camera shake, a 6.9-cm (2.7-in.) LCD display screen (230k-dot), and HD Movie 1280×720 @ 30fps.
Intelligent AUTO makes it easy for beginers while more advanced users will appreciate the availability of PASM modes. The Panasonic ZS5 / TZ8 boasts a Sonic Speed AF (Auto Focus) feature that enables super-fast response time. The camera’s quick response makes it easier to capture sudden, spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities – allowing users to lock on the subject in approximately 0.35 second (wide-end) / 0.41 second (tele-end).
The Panasonic ZS5 / TZ8 uses the SD / SDHC / SDXC (up to 64GB) memory card.
