Photoxels
Editors' Seals of Approval
"The
kind of cameras we like are the ones that
are easy
and intuitive
to use and operate, are small
and light
enough to carry everywhere, and deliver
superior
picture quality."
To
single out those digital cameras our editors
deem to excel in a particular aspect, we
have awarded the following Seals of Approval:
JeansPocket
Certified. This Seal of Approval is
awarded to those compact digital cameras
that fit in the front pocket of a comfortable
fitting Jeans.
OriGenial
Seal of Approval. This Seal of Approval
is awarded to those digital cameras with
original designs and features. OriGenial
is a contraction for Original and Genial
(French word for Ingenious).
Photoxels
Editor's Choice.
To receive the Photoxels Editor's Choice
Award, a digital camera must first meet
the following three minimum criteria: 1)
very good to excellent image quality (high
image detail, low CA), 2) low noise (at
lowest ISO), 3) and fast shutter and autofocus
response (i.e. negligible shutter and AF
lag). Besides these 3 criteria, the digital
camera also needs to handle intuitively
well and provides a positive total experience.
Editor's Choice awards are usually handed
out in November after we have reviewed the
digital cameras introduced during the current
calendar year.
Submit
your photography-related web site to be
our Featured Sites. Send us an email
and the URL, and we'll take a look. It could
be a user gallery of photos, perhaps with
accompanying text to help readers become
better digital photographers, educate about
places, or be an interesting blog. Commercial
sites usually do not qualify, but if you
have outstanding photos or tutorials....
The operative words: helpful,
useful, educational.
