2015 International Photography Awards Competition: Submit Images Before April 30 – Early Bird Deadline

The International Photography Awards (IPA) competition is open to any living photographer, 18 years of age or older, from any country.

The International Photography Awards conducts an annual photography competition for professional, non-professional, and student photographers on a global level, creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today. The IPA recognizes photography’s leading talents who are creating, shaping and defining the world of photography today.

– Be Honored by receiving the coveted Lucie Statue at the Lucie Awards Gala
– Be Published in the IPA Annual Book of Photography
– Be Featured in the IPA Best of Show Exhibition in New York City

  • Each year, the IPA invites an renowned curator to select 45 images from both the professional and non-professional pools of first, second, and third-place winners, to be exhibited in an exclusive show in New York City, during the week leading up to the Annual Lucie Awards Gala.
  • The Best of Show will then travel to various countries to be exhibited at photo festivals, galleries, and other photography related events.

– Win over $22,000 in cash prizes

Titles of the eight professional category winners:

The main category winners of IPA Photography Competition will compete for the coveted Lucie statuette, two tickets to The Lucie Awards Gala in New York City and the following cash prizes and titles:

  • International Photographer of the Year Award:
    $10,000 cash prize, provided by AtEdge
  • Discovery of the Year Award:
    $5,000 cash prize
  • Deeper Perspective of the Year Award:
    $5,000 cash prize, provided by the American Society of Media Photographers
  • Moving Image Photographer of the Year Award:
    $2,500 cash prize

Winners of the International Photographer of the Year Award and the Discovery of the Year Award will also receive the following.

  • Lucie Statue
  • Work exhibited in Best of Show exhibition
  • Work screened at the Lucie Awards
  • Published in the IPA Annual
  • Press release and newsletter announcements to over 50,000 IPA members

Winners of the Deeper Perspective of the Year Award and the Moving Image Photographer of the Year Award will also receive the following awards:

  • Lucie Statue
  • Work screened at the Lucie Awards
  • Published in the IPA Annual
  • Press release and newsletter announcements to over 50,000 IPA members

Winners of the sixteen main categories will receive two complimentary tickets to attend the Lucie Awards.

Judging

Professional photographers will be judged against other professionals.

  • Professional photographers are photographers who earn, or have earned, the majority of their living from photography.
  • Professionals must submit their work online or via CD.

Non-professionals against other non-professionals and students.

You may enter your work in as many categories as you see fit, however IPA judges, jury or staff will not switch your entry into a different category on your behalf.

Copyright and all other rights remain that of the photographer. Any photograph used by IPA shall carry the photographer’s credit line. Use may include publication in any IPA media sponsor publication. All entrants understand that any image submitted to the competition may be used by IPA for marketing and promotional purposes including in any media such as exhibitions, print and digital media directly related to the IPA competition, though there may not be monetary compensation. By winning or placing in the competition you are agreeing to be included in the winners’ annual.

BEST OF SHOW
Annually, a guest curator will choose 45 photographs from all the winners who have placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place regardless of whether or not the photographer has qualified as a nominee. By submitting an entry, you are agreeing to participate in this exclusive traveling exhibition for exposure and will not be receiving pecuniary compensation.
