Canon Uses Black Electrical Tape to Fix 5D Mark III Light Leak Problem

Wed May 2, 2012

An article at PDN claims (with before and after photo proofs) that apparently all Canon did to fix the light leak problem of the 5D Mark III is to cover some of the reflective surfaces inside the camera with black electrical tape. Wonder if overheated circuits will be next on the menu?

Read the article (and view the photos) at: PDN.

The History of Cameras in a 1-Minute Animation

Wed May 2, 2012

A beautiful animation that succintly summarizes the history of cameras, and it’s all in 1 minute. I don’t believe the digital cameras are included. See if you recognize the box camera, the folding camera, the twin lens reflexes, the rangefinders, the point-and-shoots, the roll film camera, underwater cameras, cameras with external flash, a blue thing I simply can’t place, compact cameras with various sliding lens doors, the Polaroids instant cameras (including the Polaroid SLR), the Kodak Instamatics, and the SLRs.

X-Ray Photos of Gaming Systems

Wed May 2, 2012

We spend hours playing them and now we can have a peek at what’s inside them. These X-Ray photos do not seem as sharp as the previous ones by Nick Veasey, but interesting nevertheless.
