CCD) resolution, 5x wide-angle optical zoom (28-140mm equiv.), optical Image Stabilization, 3.0-in. LCD (460k-dot), P, Scene Modes, Smart Portrait, Filter Effects, HD 720p Movie 1280 x 720 @ 30 fps, and a built-in projector (Projector Brightness: up to 20 lumens, Projector Image Size: 5 to 60 in., Projector Throw Distance: 0.26 to 3.1m). The S1200pj can now also project directly from an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iPod nano or iPod photo. An optional wireless remote is also available for purchase.

World’s Largest Digital Camera Boasts 3.2 Gigapixel Resolution

The Department of Energy (DOE) has given the go-ahead to the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC)-led project to build the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope’s 3.2-billion-pixel camera — the largest digital camera in the world. It’s roughly the size of a small car and can take 800 panoramic images every night. Researchers will use these images to create a 3-D map of the entire southern sky .

[Editor's note: We're sure Google won't be too far behind with the StreetView shuttle ;) ]
