He has publicly voiced his skepticism that the found long lost negatives of his grandfather’s are the genuine article and details several reasons why he believes the claim to be fishy.

Point your camera toward a child and a concerned parent stomps toward you, demanding that you not take photographs of his or her child and to delete all such photos from your camera.
Hey, as a parent, I feel the same way when my child is being photographed publicly. In our crazy world, you just don’t know where the picture is going to end up or how it will be used. As a photographer, I feel the dilemma of missing wonderful photographic moments that I can only observe with my eyes but not record with my camera.
To confront this ethical issue head on, Anna Brooks and Samantha Harvey, two Kingston University photography students, have reproduced traditional school photographs (Class Portraits) with one twist – all the pupils have their backs to the camera.

Good tips over at Black Star Rising from Peter Phun on taking group shots. Mind you, not your typical gather friends together group shot (though that can be challenging, too), but official company portraits that simply cannot go wrong. Good preparation avoids a group shot becoming a train wreck.

Just what does a photo intern do? National Geographic lists a photgraphy intern position as to “assist with office projects related to the visual side of the magazine and photo research. Duties also include routing photography materials, learning the insides of magazine production and conducting photo research on future story assignments. Interns will gain an understanding of the way the photo, design and editorial departments work together to produce the magazine.”
But what about when you work for an established photographer? Let’s see. Assist the photographer in shoot preparation, learn from the photographer, hold up external speedlites, hold up reflectors, tickle model’s feet, … Rewind. Tickle model’s feet?
