The Laser Cannon Is Here

Mon July 19, 2010

The Navy tests its Laser Weapon System (LaWS), a six-laser cannon guided by the Phalanx Block 1B Close-In Weapon sensors which identifies and tracks targets using electro-optical systems, measuring the range using radio frequency sensors. The energy of the six laser beams on one single point generates enough heat to take down the target. All those death ray guns that once resided only in the realm of fantasy just became an awful reality. [Is that a stealth bomber they just sacrificed in the test?]

Tips For Relying Less On Post Processsing

Mon July 19, 2010

Post processing is an almost mandatory step today if you want to get the most out of your pictures.
