Forget about finger flicking, zooming and page turning. What we really want is a gesture-based user-interface à-la-Minority Report. And this may not be as far away as you think. MIT researchers Robert Wang and Jovan Popović have developed a prototype system that uses a standard webcam and a simple multicolored Lycra glove which looks like something a Cirque du Soleil performer would be wearing.
Gaming will never be the same (I wonder who will bring it to us first?).
Sports Illustrated showed off today at Google I/O a prototype of their online edition, which they dubbed as “Developed in HTML5″. We give it a Fail.
