Hubble Marks 20 Years

Fri April 23, 2010

To mark its 20 years, the Hubble Team is putting out new pictures taken by the Hubble Telescope. The pictures from outer space are amazing, especially the ones of merging or colliding galaxies. To think that all those galactic events are happening out there is humbling. I especially like the stately Sombrero galaxy (#10). Meanwhile, there are almost 7 billion of us running around tweeting, selling more cameras, fighting — and just trying to feed ourselves day to day. When are we going to stop the bickering, take care of our own on this planet, work together — and venture outside our bubble? Been watching too much Star Trek and SG1 [not SGU, beurk!].
