PhotogaphyBLOG has posted their review of the Canon PowerShot A3100 IS, a 12.1MP resolution (1/2.3-in. CCD) entry-level digital camera with a 4x optical zoom (35-140mm equiv.), a 2.7-in. LCD (230K dots), optical viewfinder and Movie 640×480 @ 30fps.

Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Sample Video: Nocturne

Vincent Laforet did this video way back in October 2009, was asked by Canon to remove it, and it is now part of Canon’s campaign to market the HD video capability of the EOS-1D Mark IV. A total of nine lenses from 16mm to 500mm were use din the making of this video.

Sony World Photography Awards 2010 Amateur Winners Announced

The Sony World Photography Awards 2010 has announced their Amateur winners, one in each of nine categories. There were in total 43,745 submissions from 144 countries. The amateur category winners will be showcased at the Winners’ Exhibition as part of the World Photography Festival, a five day celebration of the craft of photography held in Cannes from 22-27 April. Each photographer will have their work published in the Sony World Photography Awards Winners’ Book and will then be exhibited around the world throughout 2010 and 2011 as part of the Sony World Photography Awards Global Tour.
