Wed December 9, 2009

Canon PowerShot S90

Canon PowerShot S90

The [Canon] PowerShot S90 has impressive photo quality, a fast lens and nice LCD, and lots of manual controls, but using it was just too frustrating for this reviewer.

DCRP (dcresource) has published their review of the Canon PowerShot S90IS [QuickPrice Check], with 10MP resolution (1/1.7-in CCD), 3.8x wide-angle optical zoom (28-105mm equiv.), optical Image Stabilization, bright f/2.0 maximum aperture, customizable Control Ring (around lens), large 3.0-in. LCD (460K dots), PASM modes, Scene Modes, RAW, High Sensitivity System (ISO 12,800), and Movie 640×480 @ 30fps.

World’s First Bionic Fingers

Wed December 9, 2009

Imagine being able to hold a knife and fork with artificial bionic fingers, or to tie shoe laces. ProDigits, a product developed by Touch Bionics Inc., features myoelectric sensors inside the elbow-high prosthesis that pick up nerve signals from contracting arm muscles.
