TrustedReviews has posted their review of the Ricoh GX200, a compact ultra zoom digital camera with “easy-to-use handling, all for a very reasonable price” and featuring 9.29MP resolution, Sensor-shift Image Stabilization, 10.7x wide-angle optical zoom (28-300mm equiv.), 3.0-in. high resolution (920,000 dots) LCD, Pre AF, Dynamic Range Double Shot mode, Easy Shooting mode, Scene Modes, Electronic Level, Continuous Shooting 5fps, and Movie 640×480 @ 30fps.

A new firmware update (v2.0) for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 is interesting for the improvements it brings to the popular digital camera. Where some manufacturers would feature these improvements in an upgrade version of the model, Panasonic has chosen to upgrade the LX3 itself. The improvements include the addition of WB Bracketing, Exposure Compensation and AEB are now from +/- 3EV, and highlights can now also be displayed in Playback. The press release also makes mention of a 20% AF speed increase though this does not seem to be corroborated in the accompanying PDF document detailing the improvements.

LetsGoDigital has posted their review of the Sony Alpha DSLR-A850 [QuickPrice Check], a full-frame DSLR with 24.6MP resolution, in-body Sensor-shift Image Stabilization, Dust Shake Technology, 3.0-in. LCD (921K dots), Continuous Shooting 3fps. There’s no Live View and no video capability.
