It’s that time of the year again when we take a time out and check to see if we are still having fun doing what we do. And, we are! PMA Canada

We attended PMA Canada last week here in Toronto and, of course, saw all the cameras that were already introduced earlier and that we already told you about weeks, if not months, ago. It was still a good opportunity to meet old friends and renew contacts, make new friends, rub shoulders with the competition, and just breathe in the atmosphere. We collected lots of business cards, and put down our name for loaner reviews so you can expect to read reviews of some great cameras in the near future.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 / FZ38

DCRP (dcresource) has posted their review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 / FZ38, an “impressive super zoom camera” with 12.1MP resolution (on a 1/2.33-in. CCD), 18x wide-angle optical zoom (27-486mm equiv.), optical Image Stabilization, 2.7-in. (230K dots) LCD, Intelligent AUTO (iA) mode, PASM, Scene modes, Face Recognition, and HD movie 1,280 x 720 pixels @ 30 fps.

I needed some comic relief this morning and I found it in the Photocopier Chair. It can be quite dangerous to climb on top of a photocopier and sit on it, so an enterprising designer has produced the first Photocopier Chair. It’s all automated, too, so that as soon as someone sits on it, it starts copying and the photo comes out the right side (of the person sitting on the chair). For the one who has all the gadgets in the world, this is a great gift and could become a great party attraction.
