Steve’s Digicams has posted their review of the Canon PowerShot SD970 IS [Specs], an ultra compact digital camera that is "easy enough for anyone in the family to use" with its 12.1MP resolution (1/2.3-in. CCD), 4x wide-angle optical zoom (28-112mm equiv.), optical image stabilization, 2.8-in. LCD (230K dots), HD movie (1280×720) @ 30fps, Smart AUTO, Face Detection, Face Detection Self-timer and new Active Display Technology (just tilt or shake camera to advance photo in Playback).

Casio EXILIM EX-FC100

PhotographyBLOG has published their review of the Casio EXILIM EX-FC100, an ultracompact point-and-shoot digital camera that can take high speed burst shots at up to a blazing 30fps ("the ability to shoot 30 images in one second at the touch of a button is amazing for any camera"), and features 9.1M resolution (on a 1/2.3-inch high-speed CMOS), 5x optical zoom (37-185mm equiv.), 2.7-in. LCD (230K dots), and high speed videos at up to 1000fps, allowing the capture of some amazing slow-motion videos.
